Welcome to KSA!

Providing high school students and families with comprehensive career guidance and college planning services.

More than 40% of college students don’t graduate college in SIX years. Why? Because they enroll at schools that aren’t the best fit – academically, socially, financially. With 4600 colleges and universities in the U.S. alone, how do you find the right fit? Let me help you navigate this process and enroll at a school you will love.

  • Want to know how to find the right college?

Finding the right college takes time – we'll match your academic profile, interests, needs and wants to the right schools, where you'll be challenged and encouraged and able to develop into the person you dreamed you could become. Get started by looking at college websites. Many schools have great online tours.

  • Unsure about what to do after college?

I'll administer personality and aptitude testing that will help you define what types of career paths may be a good fit and then we'll match those professions to college majors. I'll also connect you with individuals working in your fields of interest for informational interviews. See some steps we'll take to find you a career here.

  • Confused about how to apply to college?

I'll translate college admission lingo like SAT, ACT, Early Action, Early Decision, Demonstrated Interest, FAFSA, Waitlist, Activities Resume, Common Application and more into English and review your high school transcripts and test scores. I'll give it to you straight. You need to know the realistic chances of being admitted to a particular school and why that is so. I have 25 years of college admission experience and I've reviewed many thousands of applications. I know what colleges are looking for and how to present your credentials honestly and powerfully. My Application Essay Boot Camp and other tools are included in my service plans.

  • Concerned about how you're going to pay for college?

Four years of private college can exceed $200,000 and four years of public college averages $80,000. Financial aid is an important piece of the college admission process. We'll review scholarships, grants, loans and the FAFSA. I'll provide strategies for maximizing your chances of receiving the highest awards. Don't feel confused and overwhelmed, let me help.

  • Wondering about the best colleges for students with learning disabilities, ADD, ADHD or Asperger's?

We're all unique, and some of us have specific challenges or gifts that need more attention in the college admission process. Every accredited school is required to provide academic/emotional support services, but how do you evaluate which colleges and universities offer the best services? My resources, network and experience are vast and allow me to guide students to environments where independence and autonomy are encouraged and valued, but not at the expense of the needs of the student. Contact me for more information about great schools for students with learning differences.
